Kristi Noem for CIA? Trump’s Loyalty Tests Shake Up National Security
Trump’s picks spark debate on national security priorities and immigration reform.
Good Morning
Trump’s shadow cabinet is taking shape, and it’s making waves. From Kristi Noem reportedly being considered for CIA or DHS, to Tulsi Gabbard’s controversial nomination for Director of National Intelligence, the emphasis on loyalty is unmistakable. Meanwhile, an LA suburb defies California’s sanctuary policies, and Tom Homan’s return to ICE signals a crackdown on immigration enforcement. This isn’t just politics—it’s a preview of what’s coming in 2025. Let’s break it down.
Noem’s Potential CIA Role Sparks Debate Over Loyalty and Leadershi
South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem is reportedly being considered for a top role in the CIA or Department of Homeland Security in Donald Trump’s incoming administration. While her name sparks excitement among conservatives, it also raises critical questions about loyalty, qualifications, and the strategic direction of national security in a second Trump term.
Noem’s name has floated to the top of the shortlist due to her steadfast support of Trump during his presidency and her high-profile opposition to Biden-era policies. Supporters argue that Noem’s commitment to America First principles and her unflinching stance against federal overreach make her the perfect fit for a leadership role in the intelligence or security sectors. To them, Noem represents the bold leadership needed to steer these agencies toward policies that prioritize American interests.
Critics, however, are quick to point out that Noem has no formal experience in intelligence or homeland security. Her rise to prominence has been driven by fiery rhetoric and unwavering loyalty, but does that translate into the nuanced expertise required to lead agencies tasked with protecting the nation from global threats? Detractors also warn that this move could signal Trump’s focus on loyalty over qualifications, further polarizing national security institutions that are already facing credibility crises.
This potential appointment isn’t just about filling a position—it’s a litmus test for how Trump plans to handle the deep state in his second term. Will his focus on loyalty and ideological alignment reinvigorate these agencies, or could it lead to deeper divisions and questions about competence at the highest levels of government?
LA Suburb Declares Itself a Non-Sanctuary City
In a surprising move, a suburb of Los Angeles has broken away from California’s sanctuary state policies, declaring itself a non-sanctuary city. The city council voted unanimously to pledge full cooperation with the Trump administration’s deportation plans, marking a stark contrast to the state’s widespread resistance to federal immigration enforcement. Leaders in the suburb argue that prioritizing public safety and enforcing immigration laws is critical to protecting their community.
This shift comes as many California cities continue to face rising crime rates, overcrowded shelters, and strained local resources. Supporters of the non-sanctuary designation claim that ignoring immigration laws undermines community trust and creates environments where criminal networks thrive. Opponents argue that this move alienates immigrant communities and risks escalating tensions between residents and local law enforcement.
The decision signals growing resistance to California’s sanctuary state policies, which have drawn sharp criticism from conservatives nationwide. As Trump prepares to take office, this suburb’s stance could inspire similar moves in other communities, reigniting the national debate over sanctuary policies and their impact on public safety. Tulsi Gabbard Faces Scrutiny as Director of National Intelligence Nominee
Former Representative Tulsi Gabbard is making waves as Donald Trump’s nominee for Director of National Intelligence. Known for her independent streak and willingness to challenge party orthodoxy, Gabbard has drawn praise for her bipartisan approach but sharp criticism for her perceived lack of loyalty to either major political party. Her nomination is already stirring controversy, with former intelligence officials accusing her of prioritizing personal beliefs over institutional integrity.
Supporters argue that Gabbard’s outsider status is exactly what the intelligence community needs, as Trump seeks to overhaul agencies he has long accused of harboring deep state operatives. Her critics, however, worry that her maverick tendencies could disrupt the delicate balance required to manage America’s vast intelligence apparatus.
As the Senate prepares for confirmation hearings, Gabbard’s nomination has become a flashpoint for debates over party loyalty, accountability in the intelligence community, and the future direction of U.S. national security. Whether she can navigate the political and institutional resistance remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: her confirmation battle will be anything but ordinary. Full story.
Tom Homan’s Return to ICE Signals Tougher Border Policies
Tom Homan, the former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), is expected to return to his old role under the Trump administration, signaling a dramatic shift in immigration enforcement. Homan has been a vocal advocate for aggressive deportation policies, border security enhancements, and cracking down on sanctuary cities. His reinstatement is being hailed by conservatives as a long-overdue move to restore law and order at the border.
Homan’s track record includes overseeing a significant increase in deportations during Trump’s first term, as well as high-profile battles against state and local governments that refused to cooperate with ICE. His unapologetic style and unwavering commitment to enforcement have made him a polarizing figure, beloved by conservatives and reviled by immigration activists.
With Homan back in the driver’s seat, the Trump administration’s immigration strategy is likely to take an even harder line. Supporters see his return as a necessary step to address the failures of the Biden era, while critics warn that his policies could lead to increased family separations and further humanitarian concerns at the border. An open letter to anyone who thinks weather disasters are natural...
Following is a story about something they don’t want you to question.
For decades, the government has quietly experimented with controlling the weather. Programs like HAARP and Project Stormfury were launched under the guise of scientific research, but the reality is far more unsettling.

But here’s the thing: they don’t want you to connect the dots.
This Sunday’s Fed-Up Files pulls back the curtain on the truth about weather manipulation—who’s behind it, how it’s done, and why it matters to you.

If I had to choose between Tulsi and Kristi, I'll take Tulsi. Experience to some degree matters. Yes, being a governor is good experience but it might be a better fit for DHS, but not CIA. Tulsi offers a more comprehensive resume. Of course, here I am, not a governor or even affiliated at all with a government entity wanting to be the director of FEMA. I still hold fast to that Maybe if I put on my false eyelashes, highlight my hair, and do some cross training...that might do it. 😉
