Putin Flashes a Nuke. Trump Tightens the Noose.
Russia’s desperate bluff meets a president who doesn’t blink.
Good Morning, it’s Tuesday, October 28th, 2025.
Vladimir Putin just pulled a Cold War stunt — test-launching a nuclear cruise missile to intimidate Trump after fresh sanctions gutted Russian oil cash. But this isn’t 2015, and Trump doesn’t take orders from Moscow or MSNBC. Meanwhile, Gavin Newsom finally admitted he’s been giving illegal aliens free healthcare for 22 years (yes, really), and Trump may have just done what no Republican has before: broken the left’s ratchet strategy wide open.
If you’ve got friends still saying “nobody’s giving illegals free healthcare,” forward them this email and tell them to grab a chair.

Putin Dares Trump With a Nuke Test
Kremlin gambles on intimidation. Trump calls the bluff.
What You Need to Know:
Vladimir Putin tested a nuclear-powered cruise missile — the Burevestnik — just days after Trump slapped new sanctions on Russian oil giants Rosneft and Lukoil.
Also on Putin’s plate: a grandiose military update claiming Russia’s about to encircle 100,000+ Ukrainian troops. Spoiler: they’re not.
Why It Matters:
Putin’s pushing nuclear brinkmanship again — not in theory, but on tape.
Trump’s now in a direct psychological chess match with Moscow’s war machine.
The media’s asleep — too busy chasing Trump’s tweets instead of nuclear missile launches.
The Real Story:
On Sunday, Putin played Cold War cosplay — gathering cameras to showcase his top general hyping phantom Ukrainian encirclements and the test of the Burevestnik missile.
This isn’t your average saber-rattle:
The Burevestnik is a nuclear-powered, nuclear-armed cruise missile — capable of flying for days, even weeks.
It’s designed to evade Western radar, linger off U.S. coasts, and strike at will.
Translation: Putin tried to remind Trump that Russia can still make D.C. sweat.

But here’s the problem for Vlad…
Trump just cut Russia’s energy revenue lifeline — the Rosneft/Lukoil sanctions hit Moscow where it hurts: oil cash.
Russia’s losses in Ukraine now top 200,000 troops. Its battlefield boasts are more delusion than dominance.
And domestically, Putin’s grasp is slipping — hence the need to show strength through stunts, not success.
Putin’s flex is a bluff, but a dangerous one. The Burevestnik isn’t about Ukraine — it’s about testing Trump.
And Trump? He’s not blinking.
What They Don’t Want You to See:
“Russia has now lost approximately 200,000 troops… for seizing a relatively sparse area.” — Washington Examiner, Oct. 27, 2025
“Trump introduced new sanctions on Russian energy giants Rosneft and Lukoil…”
Bottom Line:
Putin lit the fuse, hoping Trump would flinch.
Instead, Trump just tightened the vise on Moscow’s war machine.
This isn’t Cold War 2.0 — it’s checkmate in real time.
Gavin Says the Quiet Part Out Loud
Caught on tape: 22 years of free healthcare for illegals
He finally said it. On camera. Gavin Newsom bragged about giving universal healthcare to illegal immigrants for over two decades — starting when he was mayor of San Francisco back in 2004.
In his own words:
“I did universal health care when I was mayor, fully implemented — regardless of your immigration status. San Francisco is the only universal health care plan for all undocumented residents in America. I’m very proud of that.”
Proud. That’s the word he used.
Meanwhile…
Americans are crushed under medical debt.
The southern border is a revolving door.
And Democrats are pretending they never supported this insanity.
But the receipts are everywhere:
Flashback to the 2024 primary debate: Every Dem on stage raised their hand when asked if they supported free healthcare for illegals.
Fox News aired a highlight reel of Cory Booker, Julian Castro, Elizabeth Warren, Beto O’Rourke, and more — all saying the quiet part out loud.
Now that it’s politically toxic, they’re scrambling to gaslight you. Senator Jeanne Shaheen even claimed she didn’t “know a single Democrat” who supports it.
Lady, they filmed it.
Bottom Line:
Newsom didn’t slip up. He confessed. The left’s been handing out taxpayer-funded healthcare to illegal aliens for decades — now they just hope you weren’t paying attention.
Not conspiracy. Not theory.

Trump Broke the Progressive Ratchet
DEI, gender quotas, woke military — all jammed in reverse
For decades, the left’s strategy was simple: move slowly, claim moderation, then lock in radical policies once voters stop paying attention.
Rich Lowry calls it the progressive ratchet — and Trump just smashed it with a wrench.
Under Obama and Biden, the ratchet rolled forward with DEI mandates, gender-normed combat standards, trans ideology in schools, and corporate diversity quotas.
These moves came cloaked in “inclusion” and “rights,” but led to institutionalized discrimination and radical social engineering.
Trump’s second term has reversed or gutted much of this — not just by executive order, but by resetting the baseline of what’s considered “acceptable.”
And here’s the kicker:
Even if the left wins back the White House, they can’t just reset the clock. Rebuilding woke architecture across the military, schools, and federal agencies will be harder than bulldozing it — especially now that voters are wise to the game.
Trump’s move wasn’t just policy. It was psychological:
He shattered the illusion of “inevitability.”
He proved rollback is possible.
And he exposed the left’s endgame as unpopular and overreaching.
Bottom Line:
The ratchet only worked when no one pushed back. Now Trump’s thrown it in reverse — and the left doesn’t know how to rebuild without showing their true agenda.

The Missile That Missed Its Target
Putin staged a nuclear flex to rattle Trump.
It backfired.
Trump’s sanctions hit Russia’s oil lifeline hours before launch.
Moscow lost money; Washington kept its cool.
That’s not diplomacy — that’s deterrence by dominance.
Exactly what The Ledger has been documenting: how momentum beats menace every time.

Putin’s playing with nukes. Kamala’s polling behind The Rock. Gavin just confessed on tape. And Trump? He’s rewriting the script that the left spent 30 years drafting. The days of passive “respectable” conservatism are over — this is the counter-punch.
When they gaslight, we hit record. When they bluff, Trump calls.
This is the new playbook. Let’s keep turning the page.

P.S. Here’s my take: The Burevestnik stunt wasn’t about Ukraine — it was a Hail Mary to shake Trump’s resolve. But Trump isn’t Biden. He doesn’t apologize, doesn’t retreat, and doesn’t blink at nuclear threats. That’s why they fear him.
What about you? Should Trump go harder on Russia, or play the long game?

I think it's theater and Trump and Putin are working together to destroy the criminal syndicate known as the deep state. The left has always used Russia for their enemy when they have always only been our allies. So they gin up people to hate and fear what is actually a large, white, Christian nation. My take.
If this doesn't permanently tank Newsom's Presidential aspirations, then people really aren't paying attention. He racked up $1.6 trillion in debt and billions/year shortfall in revenue. He's a dancing hands, hair gel nightmare.
