I have lived in and around Chicago for Decades. The Gangs and the killings have been out of control for what seems forever. Obama never came to show us that black lives matter, and children continue to be shot, drive-bys and other ways.
It is very telling that Illinois Democrats are more interested in fighting their own President and armed forces than the criminals that prey on their citizens.
I am a Chicagoan and I welcome any and all Federal assistance to purge the criminals who reign unmolested on our streets, making our city the murder capital of America.
Chicagoans are waking up to the fact that the idiot Democrats who run our city, county, and state are brain-damaged by wokeness and cowardice and must be overthrown if our city is to survive.
We are on the verge of bankruptcy in no small part because the human right of public safety has been sacrificed on the altar of progressive political sensibilities.
I was going to write similar sentiments,- it's a war were fighting, and there is good reason behind " federalizing the battle "! We will never return to normal IMO, but we should never give up our Constitutional protected process - Declare Martial Law where/when necessary and use it legally and within allowed parameters, but always be vigilant against usurpation of power. We should know that lesson by now!
