Nvidia’s H20 chip is a modified, lower-spec variant of its top-tier H100/Hopper-series GPUs. It has reduced memory bandwidth and performance to comply with U.S. export rules .

• U.S. export controls prohibit sending high-end AI chips to China, so the H20 is allowed after licensing, while the full-powered H100 remains banned
