Democrats Try to End Shutdown with a Bribe — GOP Says “Not a Chance”
Schumer’s “compromise” was really an Obamacare bailout. Republicans didn’t bite.
Good Morning, it’s Saturday, November 8th, 2025.
Washington is deep into the shutdown — and Democrats are trying to buy their way out with another Obamacare handout. Schumer called it a “deal.” Senate Republicans called it “terrible.” And while D.C. plays chicken with your tax dollars, New York just voted for an outright socialist who thinks higher taxes are freedom.
America’s split-screen couldn’t be clearer: one side wants to grow government — the other’s trying to stop it from devouring the country.
Don’t keep this to yourself — forward this to one friend who still thinks Democrats care about fiscal sanity.
And as always, hit reply — your take might make Monday’s Briefing.

Senate GOP Rips Democratic Offer to End Shutdown: ‘Nonstarter’
What You Need to Know:
Senate Democrats, led by Chuck Schumer, floated a proposal to reopen the government by extending Affordable Care Act (ACA) subsidies for one year — a move they pitched as “middle ground.” Republicans immediately labeled it what it is: a political trap disguised as compromise.
Why It Matters:
The shutdown fight has become a test of who blinks first — fiscal restraint or election-year pandering.
Democrats want to hardwire ObamaCare’s subsidies deeper into the system.
Republicans say: no more taxpayer bailouts for Big Insurance while inflation’s still eating middle America alive.
The Real Story:
Schumer’s offer — a short-term stopgap with an ACA sweetener — hit the Senate floor like a lead balloon. Within minutes, GOP senators were calling it “terrible” and “unserious.”
Sen. Lindsey Graham didn’t mince words: “The five largest health care companies in America have had a 1,000 percent increase in their stock prices since 2010. We’re flooding these people with money that’s creating inflation.”
Translation: Democrats are using a shutdown they helped cause to push another corporate subsidy under the “health care” label.
Sen. John Thune, leading the charge as Majority Leader, drove the nail in: “Everybody who follows this knows that’s a nonstarter. The ObamaCare extension is the negotiation — once the government opens up.”
Why the sudden urgency from Schumer? Democrats just came off surprise ballot-box wins, and the White House (yes, Trump himself) said the GOP “took a hit” in the optics battle. Smelling blood, Democrats saw an opening to extract concessions — namely, reviving the very subsidies conservatives have fought to end for a decade.
But here’s the kicker: even some moderate Democrats aren’t thrilled. Progressive hardliners want a guaranteed extension, not a “vote later” promise. In other words, the left is at war with itself over how far to push their leverage before voters start noticing who’s really prolonging the shutdown.
What They Don’t Want You To See:
This isn’t about reopening the government — it’s about cementing ObamaCare funding and removing Hyde Amendment protections that block federal abortion money. That part didn’t make the CNN chyron.
Bottom Line:
Democrats thought they could bribe Republicans into reopening the government with a one-year ObamaCare cash grab. Instead, they exposed their hand — showing voters this shutdown isn’t about paychecks, it’s about politics. The GOP’s “nonstarter” just drew the line in the sand.
Trump Didn’t Radicalize Democrats — They Did That Themselves
Democrats keep electing extremists — then blame Trump for it.
Liberals are celebrating Tuesday’s elections, but behind the champagne, some Democrats are sweating. Why? Because the left’s newest stars — from Virginia’s incoming AG Jay Jones to New York’s socialist mayor-elect — are walking proof that extremism isn’t just tolerated in the Democratic Party anymore, it’s rewarded.
Jones, who texted a GOP colleague wishing death on their kids, faked community service, and drove 116 mph, just won easily. His party? Silent. Virginia’s top Dems — including Abigail Spanberger and Tim Kaine — kept their endorsements. And voters in D.C.’s rich suburbs? They knew, and didn’t care.
Meanwhile, the left blames Trump. The Searchlight Institute claims “the bar for disqualifying behavior is now in hell” thanks to him. But history — from Roy Moore’s loss to GOP voters rejecting Mark Robinson in North Carolina — tells a different story: Republicans still draw moral lines. Democrats bulldoze them.
And this isn’t isolated. From mayors calling Christians “cult-member morons” to a party that still venerates Ted Kennedy and Robert Byrd, Democrats have long excused violence, corruption, and hate when it serves their cause.
Bottom Line:
Democrats aren’t victims of Trump’s tone — they’re architects of their own moral decay. The left’s “resistance” mindset has morphed into open justification for extremism. Trump didn’t radicalize them — power did.

Let Them Burn It Down”
New York just voted for socialism. Let them live with it.
New York City just crowned its first openly socialist mayor — 34-year-old Zohran Mamdani — a man who thinks frozen rents, punishing the rich, and dumping billions into public programs is a growth plan. Democrats are calling it “progress.” The rest of the country calls it an experiment in collapse.
Speaker Mike Johnson didn’t mince words: “Mamdani’s victory marks the biggest win for destructive, dangerous socialism in U.S. history — and a loss for freedom-loving Americans.” Even Barack Obama called to congratulate him. Translation: the Democrat establishment just blessed Marxism at scale.
So here’s the conservative playbook: let it burn. Don’t bail out failure with red-state tax dollars. Let New York be the test lab for every utopian fantasy the left has ever sold — sky-high taxes, frozen markets, and defunded police. When it all crumbles (again), the rest of America will have the receipts.
Because the truth is, freedom works. Capital flows to order, safety, and opportunity — not chaos. When cities punish success, families and businesses vote with their feet. Texas, Florida, Tennessee — they’re already rolling out the welcome mats.
Bottom Line:
If New York wants to run a socialist experiment, let them. The rest of America is already building the alternative — one that still believes in freedom, family, and a fair shot.

The battle lines are drawn — not between parties, but between those who believe America can still stand on hard work and common sense, and those who think printing money and policing thought is progress. From Schumer’s “shutdown deal” to Mamdani’s socialist experiment, Democrats are showing the nation exactly what happens when power replaces principle.
Let them run their labs. Let the numbers, the crime stats, and the empty wallets do the talking. The rest of us will keep building, working, and winning where freedom still lives.

I am sorry for all of those people the Democrats are exploiting for “leverage.“ For, shame.
However, I hope this shutdown lasts until December 31 when Obama care subsidies are finally at their designed end. Perhaps then, Democrat will behave themselves? Nah.. they’ll find another crisis du jour.
No concessions! Let it stay shut down.
